The A3967 Easy Driver is a compact stepper motor driver board that lets you control a bipolar stepper motor with just two signals: STEP and DIR. Each pulse on the STEP pin moves the motor one step, while the DIR pin sets the direction, so it works with Arduino and almost any microcontroller that can output a digital signal.
Built around the Allegro A3967 microstepping driver, it supports full, half, quarter, and eighth-step modes for smoother, quieter motion and finer positioning than basic drivers. An onboard trimmer sets the output current, and a built-in regulator supplies the logic, with a solder jumper for 3.3V control signals. It drives 4, 6, and 8 wire stepper motors wired as bipolar.
Typical uses include 3D printers, CNC machines, camera sliders, robotic arms, and other motion projects for hobbyists, makers, and students. For safety, never connect or disconnect the motor while the board is powered, as this can permanently damage the A3967 chip.
