MG90S Metal Gear Micro Servo 9g

The MG90S is a premium upgrade to the standard SG90 micro servo, featuring a full metal gear train in place of plastic gears for significantly improved durability, torque handling, and resistance to gear stripping under load. Despite the upgraded internal mechanism, it retains the same compact 9-gram form factor and footprint as the SG90, making it a drop-in replacement for projects that need more strength without redesigning the mounting.

Operating via the industry-standard PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control signal, the MG90S rotates approximately 180° (90° in each direction from centre), making it easy to control from any microcontroller including Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and STM32 using a single PWM-capable digital pin. With a higher stall torque of 1.8–2.2 kg·cm and a fast response speed of 0.1 second per 60°, the metal gear train handles repeated, high-load actuation cycles far better than plastic-geared equivalents, reducing the risk of stripped gears in demanding applications.

This metal gear micro servo is ideal for RC airplane and car control surfaces, robotic grippers and arms, pan-tilt camera mounts, animatronics, and any project where the lightweight SG90 form factor is needed but with greater mechanical resilience and longer service life under continuous use.
