The LJ18A3-8-Z/BX is a rugged 18mm barrel inductive proximity sensor built for accurate, non-contact detection of metallic objects across industrial, automation, and DIY control applications. With an extended 8mm sensing distance and a wide 6–36V DC operating range, this sensor integrates effortlessly with PLCs, CNC controllers, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller-based systems.
Configured as a 3-wire NPN Normally Open (NO) output, the sensor sinks current to ground when a metal target enters its detection range — the output switches LOW on detection, making it directly compatible with the majority of PLC input modules and digital control systems without additional signal conditioning.
