HLK-LD2410 24GHz Human Presence Radar Sensor

The HLK-LD2410 is the original module in Hi-Link’s popular 24GHz human presence radar series, using FMCW (Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave) technology to detect both moving and stationary human targets with high sensitivity. Unlike PIR sensors that rely on infrared changes, this radar module can sense subtle micro-movements such as breathing, sitting, or lying still, making it a strong upgrade for smart lighting, occupancy sensing, and security applications. It also features excellent shell penetration, so it can be hidden inside an enclosure without needing a visible opening, improving the aesthetics of finished products.

This module supports both GPIO and UART output, allowing simple digital presence detection or full serial communication for detailed distance and status data. Sensitivity, detection range, and unmanned delay time can all be configured through a Windows-based software tool connected via UART, giving makers fine control over how the sensor performs in different environments. Its performance remains stable regardless of ambient temperature, brightness, humidity, or lighting conditions, making it far more reliable outdoors and in variable indoor settings than infrared alternatives.

Compact and easy to embed into enclosures, the HLK-LD2410 is well suited for smart home devices, energy-saving automation, advertising displays, and safety monitoring systems that require dependable, contactless human detection. Note: unlike the LD2410B and LD2410C variants, this original model does not include built-in Bluetooth connectivity.
