TP4056 1S Li-ion Charger Type-C with Protection

The TP4056 1S Li-ion Battery Charger Module with Type C input is a compact, all-in-one charging and protection solution for single-cell 3.7V lithium-ion and lithium polymer batteries. Unlike the basic TP4056 charger-only boards, this variant integrates a DW01 protection IC and dual 8205A MOSFETs directly on the same PCB providing complete overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, and short circuit protection in a single module, so no separate BMS is required when building compact battery-powered projects.

The TP4056 linear charger IC delivers a stable 1A maximum charge current via the onboard USB Type-C port the reversible, modern connector that eliminates the frustration of incorrect plug orientation. An onboard 1.2kΩ programme resistor sets the default charge current to 1A, which can be modified by replacing this resistor for lower current charging of smaller capacity cells. A red LED illuminates during active charging and a blue LED lights when the charge cycle is complete giving clear, instant visual feedback without needing a meter.

The DW01 protection IC continuously monitors cell voltage and current, cutting off the charge path at 4.25V ±0.05V to prevent overcharge, disconnecting the load path at 2.4V ±0.1V to prevent over-discharge, and tripping the 8205A dual MOSFET pair in the event of overcurrent or short circuit all with automatic recovery once the fault condition clears. With output available from both solder pad connections and onboard OUT+ / OUT− pads, this module is a direct drop-in power solution for wearables, IoT sensors, portable instruments, DIY power banks, and any battery-powered embedded project requiring charging and protection on a single compact board.
