RGB SMD LED 8 Channel Module 5050 WS2812

The WS2812B 8-Bit RGB LED Driver Board is a compact, chainable addressable LED stick module featuring eight individually controllable 5050 SMD RGB LEDs, each with a WS2812B driver IC integrated directly inside the LED package. Since the driver chip is located inside the LED itself, each LED on the stick is fully addressable and can display any colour from the 16,777,216 possible combinations, using only a single data line from your microcontroller.

Each LED has an ~18mA constant current drive, so the colour remains highly consistent even when supply voltage fluctuates and no external current-limiting resistors are required, simplifying both PCB design and breadboard prototyping significantly. A built-in signal reshaping circuit ensures waveform distortion does not accumulate as the signal cascades from one LED to the next, maintaining data integrity across long chains of modules.

Each pixel of the three primary colours achieves 256 levels of brightness, producing a smooth 16.7 million colour full-colour display with a scan frequency of not less than 400Hz. Data is transmitted at 800Kbps on a single wire. Multiple boards can be easily daisy-chained by connecting the DO (Data Out) pin of one board to the DI (Data In) pin of the next, allowing a single microcontroller pin to control hundreds of LEDs. Compatible with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and STM32, and supported by the popular FastLED and Adafruit NeoPixel libraries. Available in black and white PCB colour variants.
