LCD 20×4 Character Module with I2C Adapter

The LCD 20×4 Character Module with I2C Adapter gives your project a large, easy-to-read text display with four rows of 20 characters each, for 80 characters on screen at once. The I2C adapter is already mounted on the back, so there is no soldering required and no need to wire up the 16 parallel pins of a standard LCD.

With the PCF8574-based adapter, the display connects to your microcontroller using just four wires: VCC, GND, SDA, and SCL. That leaves the rest of your I/O pins free for sensors, buttons, and relays, and the I2C bus can be shared with other devices. The display is based on the popular HD44780 standard, so it works with widely used libraries such as LiquidCrystal_I2C on Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. An onboard potentiometer lets you adjust the contrast, and the backlight keeps text clear in dim conditions.
