The TL072 Op-Amp Guitar Preamplifier Board is a compact high-impedance preamp that boosts weak signals from electric guitars, basses, and other instruments before they reach your amp, pedal, or recording gear. Built around the low-noise TL072 dual JFET op-amp, it offers a 1 megohm input impedance that preserves your instrument’s natural tone, and about 10 times (20dB) of gain.

An onboard potentiometer lets you adjust the output level, and the board accepts both single-ended and differential inputs. It runs from a single 12V DC supply (9V to 15V), so it works with standard pedal power supplies and draws only a few milliamps. The small 45 x 30mm board ships with a JST cable for quick connection, making it easy to install in a pedal enclosure, guitar cavity, or DIY amp project.

Use it to build a clean boost pedal, a buffer for long cable runs, or a preamp for piezo and magnetic pickups. Because the board runs on a single supply, do not connect a negative or dual supply, and use a clean, regulated DC source to keep noise low.
