The AJL-6860-RTR is a compact, waterproof 60A brushed Electronic Speed Controller designed as a direct drop-in upgrade or replacement ESC for 1/10-scale RC cars, trucks, crawlers, tanks, and boats running 540, 550, or 750-sized brushed motors. With a continuous current rating of 60A and a peak burst rating of 480A, it handles the power demands of high-torque brushed drivetrains without breaking a sweat — making it an excellent choice for both casual hobbyists and competitive drivers seeking reliable, responsive motor control.

Eight low-internal-resistance, high-current MOSFET transistors form the output stage, delivering efficient power transfer with minimal heat generation under normal operating conditions. Automatic throttle detection calibrates the throttle endpoints at startup without manual programming, while the onboard adjustment bubble allows all operating parameters to be set quickly and conveniently in the field without a computer or programming card.

Three built-in operating modes cover all RC use cases: Mode 1 — Forward, Brake, and Reverse for standard car and tank use; Mode 2 — Forward and Brake only for racing applications where accidental reverse is undesirable; and Mode 3 — Forward, Brake-to-centre, and Reverse for crawler-style driving. Battery compatibility spans 2S–3S LiPo and 5–9 cell NiMH packs, and the integrated BEC outputs a stable 6V / 3A to power the receiver and steering servo directly from the ESC. Thermal protection automatically reduces output power to 50% at 100°C and restores full power when the temperature drops to 80°C, while voltage protection gradually reduces speed as battery voltage approaches the cutoff threshold before cutting output to zero.
