The TPS61023 Step-Up Boost Converter Module is a compact and highly efficient power solution designed to deliver a stable 5V output at up to 1A from input voltages as low as 2V. Built around Texas Instruments’ TPS61023 boost controller IC with dual integrated 3A MOSFET switches, this module punches well above its weight despite being no larger than a standard linear regulator package.
The onboard feedback resistors are calibrated to output 5.2V — marginally above 5V to compensate for any voltage drop across wiring and connectors — ensuring downstream components consistently receive a reliable 5V supply. Operating at up to 88% efficiency from a 3.7V LiPo / Li-Ion input, it is perfectly suited for single-cell lithium batteries, 2–3 Alkaline cells, or any 2–5V source that needs to be stepped up to USB-level voltage.
Featuring automatic PFM mode at light loads, output overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown, and short-circuit protection, this module is an ideal power backbone for wearables, portable sensors, IoT nodes, and microcontroller builds requiring stable 5V from a low-voltage battery source. The PCB uses 2oz copper for superior thermal performance and current handling.
