SIM808 GSM GPRS GPS Module

The SIM808 is an all-in-one cellular and satellite positioning module that combines a quad-band GSM/GPRS modem with a built-in GPS receiver. With one UART connection you can send and receive SMS messages, make voice calls, transfer data over GPRS, and read your location, replacing two separate modules with a single compact design.

The GSM side supports 850/900/1800/1900MHz bands and GPRS multi-slot class 12 with data rates up to 85.6kbps, plus embedded TCP/UDP, FTP, and HTTP protocols for sending data to a server. The GPS receiver tracks down to -165dBm sensitivity with about 2.5 metre accuracy, and a hot start fix can arrive in as little as one second.

Everything is controlled with standard AT commands, making it simple to use with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers. It is a popular choice for vehicle trackers, asset tracking, remote monitoring, and SMS alert systems, ideal for hobbyists, makers, and students building location-aware projects. A SIM card with active 2G service is required.
