The RS232 Serial Port to TTL Converter Module lets your microcontroller talk to legacy serial devices and computer COM ports by translating between RS232 voltage levels and 3.3V or 5V TTL logic. Built around a MAX3232 level-shifter chip with onboard charge pumps, it generates the positive and negative voltages RS232 requires, so no extra supply is needed beyond your logic voltage. The onboard DB9 female connector plugs straight into standard serial ports and cables.
Because it works at both 3.3V and 5V, the module pairs easily with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, and PIC projects. TX and RX lines come out on a simple 4-pin header along with power and ground, and baud rates from 300 up to 115200 bps cover everything from old modems and barcode scanners to industrial sensors and PLCs. RS232 signalling also tolerates longer cable runs than raw TTL, which helps in workshop and industrial setups.
Compact and pre-assembled, it is ready to use out of the box. Whether you are debugging a serial interface, reviving older equipment, or adding RS232 support to an embedded build, this module is a reliable, low-cost bridge between old and new hardware.
