The KY-035 is an analog Hall effect magnetic sensor module capable of detecting both the presence and relative strength of a magnetic field. Built around the Allegro A3144 or equivalent Hall effect IC, the module produces a continuously varying analog output voltage proportional to the intensity of the surrounding magnetic field, allowing for precise field strength measurements rather than simple presence detection.

Unlike basic digital Hall sensor modules, the KY-035 delivers nuanced analog data ideal for applications requiring gradient sensing, position tracking, or field intensity monitoring. The output can be read directly by any microcontroller with an ADC-capable pin, including Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, and STM32 platforms.

Common applications include brushless motor control, magnetic encoder systems, current sensing, proximity detection, anti-lock braking system simulations, and magnetic field mapping experiments.

Compact, low-power, and straightforward to wire, the KY-035 is an excellent addition to any electronics hobbyist’s or engineer’s sensor toolkit, offering reliable and repeatable magnetic field measurements with minimal external circuitry required.
