KY-032 IR Obstacle Avoidance Sensor Module

The KY-032 is an infrared obstacle avoidance sensor module designed for close-range, non-contact object detection. It works by emitting infrared light via an IR LED and detecting the reflected signal using an IR photodiode receiver. When an obstacle is detected within range, the module outputs a digital LOW signal and illuminates the onboard indicator LED, providing immediate visual feedback.

Equipped with two onboard potentiometers, the KY-032 allows independent adjustment of transmission frequency and detection sensitivity, giving users precise control over detection range and reliability. An enable pin also allows the module to be switched on or off programmatically, making it suitable for power-sensitive designs.

Compatible with Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi, this module is widely used in line-following robots, collision avoidance systems, automated guided vehicles, smart bins, and proximity-triggered automation projects.
