2W10 2A 1000V Bridge Rectifier

The 2W10 is a single-phase full-wave bridge rectifier that converts AC into DC for power supplies and electronics projects. It packs four diodes into one compact round WOB package with four leads, so building a rectifier takes one part instead of four separate diodes.

With a 2A average forward current and a 1000V peak reverse voltage rating, it has plenty of voltage headroom for transformer-based power supplies, battery chargers, and general hobby builds. The low forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 2A keeps power loss modest, and the through hole leads drop straight into a PCB or perfboard.

A full-wave bridge makes better use of the AC waveform than a single diode, giving smoother DC after a filter capacitor.
