18650 Battery Nickel Sheet Spot Welding

This high-grade Nickel Strip is an essential consumable for building, repairing, and interconnecting lithium-ion battery packs — providing low-resistance, corrosion-resistant series and parallel cell connections that are critical for safe, high-performance battery pack assembly. Manufactured from Nickel, this strip delivers significantly lower contact resistance and better long-term reliability than cheaper nickel-plated steel alternatives, which can corrode at the weld joint over time and increase internal pack resistance.

Available in four size variants to suit different current ratings and cell formats — 0.1×5mm, 0.12×8mm, 0.12×10mm, and 0.12×15mm (thickness × width) — selecting the right size depends on the current your pack is required to deliver. As a general rule, wider and thicker strips carry higher current with less heat generation. The 0.1×5mm strip is suited for low-current and single-cell connections, while the 0.12×15mm strip is ideal for high-current parallel groups and bus bar connections in multi-cell packs.

The strip welds cleanly and consistently with both capacitive discharge (pulse) spot welders and transformer-type spot welders, with no peeling, pitting, oxidation, or surface defects. Its excellent ductility allows bending and shaping around cell terminals without cracking. Compatible with 18650, 21700, 26650, and most other cylindrical lithium-ion cell formats.
