Batteries for portable projects and the parts to charge and hold them: 3.7V 18650 Li-ion cells, 1, 2, 3 and 4 way holders including PCB-mount and vertical types, TP4056 single-cell charger modules (Micro USB and Type-C, with and without protection), constant-current chargers, CR2032 coin cells and 9V batteries.
Charging lithium cells safely
Use a charger made for lithium cells, such as the TP4056, and choose the version with protection if the cell itself is unprotected, so it cuts off on over-discharge and short circuit. Cells in series (2S, 3S) need a balance or BMS board. To get 5V from a single 3.7V cell, add a step-up converter.
