The MP1495 Based DC-DC Buck Converter is a tiny step-down module built around the MP1495 synchronous buck chip. It turns a 5-15V input into a fixed, stable low-voltage output at up to 3A. Choose from six output voltages: 1.25V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V. You select the voltage by bridging the solder pads on the board, which gives better output accuracy than a trimmer potentiometer.
Synchronous rectification delivers conversion efficiency of up to 90%, so the module runs cool and wastes little power, making it a good replacement for a linear regulator when stepping down from 12V. The compact 3 x 2cm board fits easily into tight builds, and it suits powering microcontrollers, logic boards, sensors, LCD and LED circuits, and general repair work where a low-voltage rail is needed. The default output is 1.25V, so set your voltage before connecting a load.
Always check the output with a multimeter before connecting sensitive devices, and keep the input within the rated range. For continuous loads near 3A, allow some airflow around the board. A small, efficient, and affordable power solution for hobbyists, students, and repair technicians.
